We are recruiting a Teacher (Behavioural, Emotional, and Social Difficulties) – Specialist in Maths at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 32.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) Provision

We pay an attractive salary of £33,731 - £51,942 plus a TLR payment of £3,590 & a SEN payment of £5,595 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

We are seeking dedicated and resilient teacher to join our supportive team within an EOTAS (educated other than at school). This is a unique opportunity to support learners who are not currently accessing mainstream education due to emotional, behavioural or medical needs.
This is an exciting time for EOTAS. We have a brand new multi-million-pound Centre for Skills and Learning provision due to open in 2026 which offers a modern learning environment with vocational offers for pupils along with a community facility with a sports hall, 3G pitch, climbing wall, bike maintenance workshop.
You will need to demonstrate patience, creativity and a trauma informed approach.
For the role, we ask that you have:
1. Qualified teacher status.
2. Working knowledge of the ALN Act and how this applies to children with Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties.
3. The ability to create a challenging and effective learning environment and have effective pupil management skills.
