Description:
Berry Recruitment are looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join a local authority at the central Southampton office.
This is a contract role for 6 months with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.
Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 hour lunch.
£14.46 hourly pay (increases to £14.71 after 12 weeks).
Main Duties:
1. Process invoices ensuring timely and accurate payment of legitimate invoices
2. Raising invoices as required
3. Making direct payments and auto payments
4. Accurate completion of all DWP, Office of Public Guardian and Court of Protection documentation
5. Handling the recovery of any over payments
6. Administration of relevant bank accounts in accordance with policies and practice
7. Assisting with year-end and final accounts activity
8. Provide information and undertake tasks in relation to financial audits
Candidate Requirements:
9. Accounts payable knowledge essential
10. Computer literate including MS Office
11. Attention to detail
