Senior Care Practitioner. Longridge Hall Care Home
* Hourly Rate: £15.03* per hour
* Hours: 38.5 hours per week (3-4 shifts per week on a rolling rota)
* Shift Pattern: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
Longridge Hall Care Home is a warm and welcoming 60bed residential service offering highquality, personcentred care. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive environment where residents feel valued—and where our staff are empowered to make a real difference.
We are now seeking an experienced Senior Care Practitioner to join our dedicated team on days. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong leadership abilities, excellent care standards, and a genuine passion for supporting others.
In this role, you will:
* Provide high-quality, personcentred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
* Deliver personal care, emotional support, and companionship to residents.
* Administer medication safely and in line with company and regulatory requirements.
* Lead, supervise, and support care staff to ensure consistent high standards.
* Assist with staff development, including mentoring and supporting new team members.
* Ensure compliance with care plans, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
* Contribute to care planning and complete accurate risk assessments.
* Maintain thorough, timely documentation and recordkeeping.
* Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
* Support daily operations and assist the Home Manager as required.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, relatives, and visitors.
* Promote best practice in infection control, health and safety, and quality assurance.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in a senior care role within a residential or nursing home.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or willingness to work towards it.
* Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
* A compassionate, professional, and personcentred approach.
* Flexibility to work a rolling rota, including alternate weekends.
