Position: Permanent Staff
Clearance Required: SC / DV
This isn’t just another engineering role.
If you’re ready to step up and work on some of the UK’s most high-profile Nuclear and Defence projects, this is your chance. You’ll join a forward-thinking, multi-discipline engineering team where your expertise is trusted, your ideas are valued, and your career growth isn’t just talk — it’s built into the role. From concept designs to on-site commissioning, you’ll see the full lifecycle of projects that truly impact the nation’s critical infrastructure. Why You’ll Love This Role
We offer clear, structured pathways to Principal or Lead Engineer roles, giving your career real momentum. You’ll tackle technically complex challenges that shape the future of UK energy and defence, all while enjoying hybrid working flexibility — balancing site visits, office collaboration, and home-based work. Professional development is a core part of our culture, with ongoing training, chartership support, and investment in your progression. And you’ll be part of a genuinely collaborative team where sharing knowledge and supporting each other is the norm. What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll lead EC&I design solutions, producing single-line diagrams, block circuit diagrams, cable schedules, and layouts. Your expertise will drive control system hardware and software design, applying Functional Safety standards (BSEN 61508 & 61511) to every solution. You’ll ensure designs meet British and European standards and client requirements, produce design justifications and safety documentation, and create commissioning plans including FATs and SATs. On-site commissioning, mentoring junior engineers, managing suppliers, and producing and reviewing AutoCAD EC&I drawings will all be part of your day. Experience with safety interlock and HVAC control systems is highly desirable — and gives you a real edge. Who We’re Looking For
You’ll have a degree or HNC in Electrical, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience. Strong EC&I design skills are essential, with safety interlock design a major plus. You’re confident in low voltage systems, control gear, and control systems, and you can produce clear, high-quality technical reports, documentation, and presentations. AutoCAD and MS Office are second nature, and you thrive in multi-discipline teams. Take the Next Step
This is your chance to work on projects that will define your career, not just fill your timesheet. If you’re a Senior EC&I Engineer ready to make a real impact, apply today and take your career to the next level.
