About Us
Old Park is a community special school for children and young people aged 4-19 with a wide range of learning, sensory and health needs. Our pupils may require support with communication and interaction and sometimes co-regulation. All pupils have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).
Our most recent OFSTED report (May 2024) stated no change to the school’s Outstanding overall judgement following an ungraded (Section 8) inspection.
The Role
The Governors and Senior Leaders of Old Park School are looking to recruit a suitably qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our school team.
The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Qualifications
* An NVQ Level 3 equivalent or above in childcare/child development or education.
* Literacy A-C or equivalent qualification in functional skills.

Hours, Salary and Location
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only, 39 weeks per year.
Salary: Grade 5 £20,899 – £22,678 (including SEN point, actual). Location: Old Park School, Thorns Road, Brierley Hill, DY5 2JY.
Recruitment Process
Closing date: Tuesday 2 September 2025 at midnight. Interviews will be held on Tuesday 16 September 2025 (TBC). References will be sought for shortlisted candidates as part of the process prior to interview.
