Job Description:
As a sporting coordinator, you will be responsible for the operational and sporting coordination of the Junior World Rally Championship.
You will also support the organisation and development of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). This role offers the opportunity to play an active part in the strategic evolution of both championships and contribute to the excellence of the FIA rallying worldwide.
You will report to the WRC Category Manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Sporting coordination – WRC
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (ASNs, organisers, and WRC consultants)
o Manage championship registrations and monitor event registrations
o Oversee the accreditation process for the championship
o Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all official championship documents
o Identify and propose continuous improvements to enhance the quality and visibility of the WRC and JWRC
2. Event support – JWRC (Max 6 events/year)
o Act as FIA Championship coordinator during JWRC events
o Assess on-site conditions and services provided to JWRC competitors
o Present detailed reports after each event
o Serve as a liaison with all relevant stakeholders: ASNs, promoters, organisers, competitors, and officials
3. Delegate coordination
o Coordinate communication with FIA delegates and consultants
4. Reporting
o Collect reports from FIA officials (sporting, safety, media, and technical delegates)
o Assist in the preparation of the WRC Commission meetings
o Draft and follow-up on sporting regulations in accordance with decisions approved by WMSC
o Support the organisation and content of FIA seminars and the officials’ summit
5. Championship calendar management
o Monitor and review calendar applications submitted by the ASNs
6. Communication and website coordination
o Ensure up-to-date and accurate championship information is published on fia.com
o Update championship standings and classifications on the official FIA website
7. Profile:
o University degree, preferably in Sports Management or a related field
o Strong knowledge of rallying is essential
o Previous experience as a co-driver, team coordinator or event organiser is a significant asset
o Familiarity with FIA sporting and technical regulations
o Understanding of legal and governance frameworks is a plus
o Fluency in English is essential as well as French or Spanish
o Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, InDesign) is a plus
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; confident in interacting with a wide range of stakeholders (ASNs, organisers, promoters, teams)
o Team player with a proactive, helpful attitude and a strong sense of collaboration
o Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
