Summary
We are seeking a talented Head Chef to join our team at St. Josephs Convent Nursing in the heart of our community. This pivotal role will contribute significantly to our mission by ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.
* Develop and implement menus that cater to the dietary requirements of residents.
* Supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards.
* Manage food production processes, from preparation to serving.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
* Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies as needed.
* Collaborate with other departments to enhance the dining experience for residents.
Qualifications * Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and culinary techniques.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to create menus that meet dietary restrictions while being appealing.
* Strong communication skills for interaction with staff and residents.
* Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
