Work on real ships, not just parts on a bench What You'll Be Doing
* You'll be at the heart of the action — fabricating, assembling, and installing key ship components to the highest standards.
* Your day-to-day could include:
* Marking off materials
* Building ship structures (shells, decks, bulkheads & more)
* Fabricating items like ladders, panels & flooring
* Installing hatches, watertight doors & onboard equipment
* Using machinery for rolling, cutting & forming materials
* Preparing vessels for launch and sea trials
* Docking work, plate prep, pressure testing & fitting
What You'll Need
* Ability to read fabrication & installation drawings
* Strong hands-on fabrication and assembly skills
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes
* Solid awareness of safety, health & environmental risks
Pay Rates (PAYE) Days:
* Locals: £20.80/hr
* Non-locals: £28.80/hr
Nights:
* Locals: £27.66/hr
* Non-locals: £35.66/hr
Umbrella rates available (ask for full rate card) What's in It for You?
* Minimum 37 hours per week
* Overtime available (not guaranteed)
* 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
