<div><p><b>Senior Design Manager – Data Centre Projects - Newcastle | Hybrid Working</b></p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Design Manager to join a leading international MEP engineering consultancy delivering major data centre and mission critical projects across the UK and Europe.</p><p>This role offers the opportunity to work on technically complex, high-value developments within a fast-growing sector, supporting the delivery of innovative and sustainable engineering solutions for global clients.</p><p>The successful candidate will play a key role in leading multidisciplinary design activities, managing stakeholder relationships, and supporting the successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion.</p><h3>The Role</h3><ul><li>Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across major data centre projects</li><li>Manage the design delivery process from concept through to project completion</li><li>Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams</li><li>Ensure projects are delivered in line with programme, budget, quality, and technical requirements</li><li>Maintain strong client-facing relationships and stakeholder engagement</li><li>Monitor design progress and identify technical risks and coordination issues</li><li>Chair design coordination and project meetings</li><li>Ensure compliance with project procedures, QA standards, and industry regulations</li><li>Collaborate closely with project delivery and commercial teamsSupport technical problem solving and design development activities</li><li>Mentor and support junior team members</li><li>Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the business</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Degree qualified within Engineering, Building Services, Construction, or a related discipline</li><li>Strong experience within an MEP consultancy, engineering consultancy, or mission critical environment</li><li>Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams on large-scale developments</li><li>Strong understanding of project delivery, design coordination, and commercial management</li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced project environments</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and project coordination software</li><li>Strong organisational and technical management capabilities</li><li>Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation</li><li>Experience working on large-scale or international mission critical projects</li><li>Knowledge of BIM and digital engineering coordination tools</li></ul></div>
