A high-achieving secondary girls school in Barnet is looking for an experienced Behaviour Mentor to join their school in June on a full-time basis to support students across the school with SEMH needs.
The Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be directly involved in improving the academic standards of students who require additional support to access learning within a school environment.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with additional needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
2. Developing and implementing strategies to help students manage their emotions and behaviour.
3. Supporting students in their academic, social, and personal development.
4. Helping students prepare for upcoming exams.
5. Collaborating with teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
6. Monitoring and assessing students' progress and adjusting support plans accordingly.
Requirements:
* Experience working with secondary pupils, ideally within mainstream or special schools.
* Graduate or Tuition background.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
* A commitment to promoting equality and inclusion.
