A tier 1 strategy and analytics group are looking for talented corporate bankers or retail bankers who would like to pivot into a role using their product knowledge from a major bank to work on strategic projects. This is a team of ex bankers who work with Heads of Product teams and Heads of Strategy at all the major banks. If you have spent 3-6 years at a top banking business and have some good product knowledge, an ability to have impact with senior people and like a challenge, this could be for you The team focuses on a mix of revenue benchmarking, market sizing and knowledge management, also providing 'views on the market' to its sector or clients. There is also the chance to work on strategy case work - recent cases have included Goldman Sachs, Citi and JP Morgan looking at challenges such as share price depreciation, cost worries and positioning relative to the market. Here you can apply your banking knowledge in a strategic context. Job summary: work on strategic projects, across benchmarking and market sizing, analysing data and translating what it means manage clients directly, working out what is best for the future of their business given the information you receive and use build deep relationships with some of the most senior decision makers in major banks work on cases with tier 1 strategy consultants; these tend to be more macro issues though still using data collect data from major banks, run projects and use this data to produce strategic insights and white papers for the industry We are looking for: 3-6 years' experience working at a major bank or consulting firms, or similar third party business Product knowledge in either retail banking or corporate/commercial banking - ideally the broader the better though if you have covered a few areas and have a broader interest through your own reading, this could work Tier 1 banking graduate scheme moving across teams would be an advantage Client-facing skills - ability to influence and manage key stakeholders Data skills - ability to analyse and gently model data; think pivots/lookups/creating presentations with ideally some skill with macros. You do not need advanced data science; they have data scientists who do this in the back office Entrepreneurial flair; ability to spot opportunities from conversations or in the data, build ideas and come up with a business plan where needed
