Overview
Are you a Mechanical building services engineer looking to join a small but dynamic team. The role will suit an engineer with a desire to develop working relationships and grow the business.
Responsibilities
* Develop detailed mechanical and electrical designs for building services, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements to RIBA Stages 3 to 5
* Carry out Heating, Ventilation, Domestic Services, Above Ground Drainage, Air conditioning system designs in residential, education facilities, hospitals, commercial, industrial properties.
* Undertake heat load, cooling load, and pipework/ductwork/ventilation sizing calculations.
* Work with CAD and Revit tools to deliver coordinated designs
* Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet project specifications and requirements.
* Carry out site surveys to assess and record existing arrangements of existing systems, including risers and laterals, and heat emitters etc
* Support tendering processes, providing technical input, and reviewing contractor/subcontractor proposals.
* Ensure designs meet all relevant regulations (Building Regulations, CIBSE, IET, HSE) and sustainability targets
* Client-facing position with clear, detailed communication required throughout the project cycle
Key Skills & Experience Required
* Degree or HND/HNC in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
* Proven experience in the design of Mechanical Building Systems
* Chartership or working towards (CIBSE, IMechE, IET) is desirable but not essential
* Experience of using AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, IES etc.
