We are currently seeking a People Advisor to join our People Team. In this role, you will coach, influence, and support managers to deliver an exceptional employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. You will help foster a culture where employees are proud, motivated, and recognized, and support the development of their skills and potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support departments on all people-related matters.
* Advise managers on complex absence issues and coach them in absence management.
* Provide guidance on employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance cases.
* Review employee relations matters and identify learning points and actions.
* Coach and train managers to handle employee relations effectively and resolve issues informally when possible.
* Support managers with performance management, development, and improvement plans.
* Advise on employment legislation and company policies.
* Implement new procedures and policies, providing training as needed.
* Guide managers on health and wellbeing matters.
* Contribute to people projects and initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
* Maintain reports and ensure HRIS accuracy for absence and ER data.
Candidate Profile:
* Good understanding of HR procedures and concepts and how they interrelate.
* Up-to-date with developments in HR practices.
* Ability to deliver tasks within broader projects, planning and monitoring work.
* Understanding of how HR interacts with other departments.
* Supportive of new team members; may coordinate team tasks.
* Problem-solving skills with technical experience and precedent guidance.
* Discretion in resolving complex issues, focusing on priorities.
* Strong analytical and evaluative skills.
* Ability to influence decisions and develop internal/external partnerships.
* Excellent communication and diplomacy skills; able to present technical info simply.
* Qualified or working towards Level 5 CIPD.
