About Our Client: Our client is a well-established Approved Inspector, renowned for delivering high-quality building control services across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The Role: We are seeking a qualified and motivated Registered Building Inspector (Class 2A or above) to join their dynamic team. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, providing expert advice, and conducting inspections across a diverse portfolio of projects in West London and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct plan checks, site inspections, and risk assessments for projects under Class 2A+ (including residential, commercial, and low-rise/high-risk structures).
2. Provide technical guidance to clients, architects, and contractors on Building Regulations (Parts A-P) and fire safety compliance.
3. Liaise with local authorities, developers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes (e.g., Building Safety Act 2022).
5. Support junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
1. Valid Class 2A (or higher) registration with the BSR (or demonstrable pathway to achieving it).
2. Proven experience working for an Approved Inspector or Local Authority Building Control (LABC).
3. Strong knowledge of fire safety, structural stability, and energy efficiency compliance.
4. Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.
5. Full UK driving licence (site visits required).
Desirable (Not Essential):
1. Chartered status (MCABE, MRICS, or equivalent).
2. Experience with high-risk buildings (HRBs) or complex residential projects.
