Senior Cost Consultant (Estimator) – Gleeds
Gleeds is a leading global property and construction consultancy with a long-standing track record in cost management and infrastructure projects. We are looking for highly motivated Senior Estimators / Senior Cost Planners with proven experience in the infrastructure sector.
Responsibilities
* Production of estimates and cost plans ranging from order of magnitude (OOM) to detailed estimates.
* Carrying out quantity take-offs using advanced software tools.
* Reviewing and assuring estimates and cost plans.
* Benchmarking to inform project performance and decision-making.
* Providing insight into cost performance and industry trends.
* Presenting estimating outputs in a cost report.
* Collaborating with design and delivery stakeholders.
* Participating in internal and external CPD events to maintain technological proficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant experience in Estimation, Cost Management, or Quantity Surveying in the Infrastructure sector (Rail, Highways, Aviation, Utilities, Water, Power, Civils) is desirable but not essential.
* Experience estimating services on significant infrastructure projects/programmes is desirable but not essential.
* Ideally, HNC, HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management or related discipline; time-served or engineering backgrounds may be considered.
* Professional qualifications and/or membership of RICS, ACostE, CICES, CIOB or other relevant chartered institutes are desirable and will be supported if not already attained.
