Role Overview

As a Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Barclay Communications, your role is to create and qualify new business opportunities through outbound outreach. You’ll be the first point of contact with potential clients, responsible for generating interest in our services and booking meetings for our account management and business development teams.

This role is ideal for an experienced SDR who thrives in a fast-paced B2B environment, is highly motivated and target-driven, and is looking to make a significant impact on revenue generation.


Key Responsibilities

* Proactively reach out to potential business customers via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
* Identify and qualify sales opportunities across telecoms, broadband, and IT services.
* Understand customer pain points and match them to our service offerings.
* Book qualified meetings and hand off leads to the business development team.
* Maintain accurate records in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce or similar).
* Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and lead generation initiatives.
* Stay current on industry trends, product updates, and competitor activity.
* Meet or exceed daily and monthly outreach and lead generation targets.
* Proven track record of consistently exceeding targets.
* Demonstrated experience of prospecting in B2B.
* Experience engaging with senior decision-makers.
* Ability to tailor outreach and messaging to stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
* Ability to quickly learn, retain and clearly articulate complex product and industry information.
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* Strong written communication skills (email, LinkedIn outreach).
* Self-motivated with a desire to meet and exceed targets.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to utilise bespoke software solutions.
* Comfortable using CRM and sales engagement tools.
* Positive, resilient, and coachable attitude.
* 3+ years’ experience in a sales or telesales role (B2B or B2C).
* Experience in the telecoms or IT sector.
* Familiarity with selling mobile, broadband, or VoIP services.
* Experience using Salesforce or similar platforms.
