Overview
LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority Shared Service based in Cambridgeshire, for a planning lawyer to join them on a temporary basis (which has potential to become permanent).
You will provide a range of public sector clients with professional legal advice on planning, large scale development, and highways matters. This includes representing clients in negotiations and ensuring compliance with statutory duties and obligations. Previous UK local government experience is essential.

Qualifications
* An England and Wales qualified solicitor, barrister, or CILEX chartered legal executive
* Able to demonstrate previous experience handling a caseload of planning, development and highways matters
* Previous UK local government experience is essential
* Able to attend the office in Cambridgeshire on a hybrid basis of 2 days per week
* Available on no more than a 4-week notice period
Details
Salary: £50-£60/hour umbrella (PAYE equivalent available if preferred), depending on experience.
Location: Cambridgeshire, hybrid arrangement (2 days per week in the office).
Contract type: Temporary with potential to become permanent.
