Purpose of the Role
To take ownership of supply planning and purchasing across a complex SKU base, converting demand into structured, achievable supply plans while maintaining strong OTIF performance.
To stabilise and optimise day-to-day supply execution through effective MRP management, supplier coordination, inbound oversight, and close cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
Own and manage MRP runs, reviewing exceptions and releasing purchase orders in line with lead times, MOQs and safety stock levels.
Convert forecasts, sales orders and promotional activity into a rolling 0–26 week supply plan, publishing clear shortage and recovery updates.
Raise, confirm and expedite purchase orders; proactively resolve shortages through rephasing, split shipments or alternative sourcing.
Coordinate inbound shipments with suppliers and freight partners, ensuring accurate ETAs and clear communication to internal stakeholders.
Maintain strong inventory accuracy through collaboration with Warehouse teams, cycle counts and data integrity management.
Support NPD and Commercial teams with launch readiness, supplier setup and structured call-offs.
Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience in supply planning and purchasing within manufacturing or FMCG environments.
Strong ERP experience (MRP/MPS exposure essential).
Proven ability to manage shortages, expedite supply and maintain accurate purchase order control.
Confident with Excel and comfortable analysing data to support decision-making.
Highly organised, detail-focused and calm under pressure.
Strong communicator with the ability to build trust across suppliers and internal teams.
