We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly, dedicated, and forward-thinking team providing comprehensive aseptic pharmacy services across Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. We offer extensive training, peer support, and fully funded learning opportunities to help you progress rapidly across all areas of aseptic production.
The ideal candidate should have a BTEC and NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences (or equivalent apprenticeship), pharmacy technician registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council, good manual dexterity, and previous experience in aseptic preparation, including cytotoxic and parenteral nutrition, which is a distinct advantage.
Main duties of the job
Our Aseptic unit features modern, highly regarded facilities built in 2013. It is light, spacious, and expertly designed, creating a positive working environment. It is an integral part of the pharmacy department, with strong collaborative relationships across the trust and wider region.
There are ample opportunities to develop skills in aseptic services and gain accreditation in regional schemes.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
As a key team member, you will prepare a wide range of sterile products in response to prescriptions for adult and neonatal parenteral nutrition, intravenous additive products for our CIVA Service, and cytotoxic preparations, including clinical trials. You will be part of the operational team, working towards accreditation, and involved in mentoring and training new staff. Developing expertise in aseptic services over time is essential to providing lifesaving treatments to patients.
This role offers progression opportunities after successful accreditation, further learning, and increased supervisory responsibilities.
