We are looking for an experienced midwife with a passion for providing care to our most vulnerable families.
The role of Deputy Named Midwife for Safeguarding supports the statutory duties of the Named Midwife and serves as the primary point of contact for professionals to raise concerns. You will work within and support the line management of the Olive Team, maintain a small clinical caseload of families, triage referrals, and develop and implement care plans for families meeting safeguarding criteria.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
1. Supporting the line management of the Olive Team (Safeguarding Midwives and MSW)
2. Deputising for the Named Midwife for Safeguarding
3. Providing safeguarding supervision where appropriate
4. Maintaining a small caseload of families who meet the criteria for the Olive Team
5. Developing and implementing care plans for women meeting safeguarding children criteria
6. Triaging Maternity Safeguarding referrals and ensuring families receive effective care and support in partnership with the Local Authority and partner agencies
