Management Accountant (Fixed-Term Contract – 9 Months, Potential Extension)

We are working with a well-established and growing business based in Cheadle, known for its collaborative culture and supportive team environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join a high-performing finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension.
This role offers genuine scope for development, giving you the chance to broaden your exposure across finance while contributing to key business processes during an exciting systems transition.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
2. Support the month-end close process
3. Process purchase ledger invoices
4. Perform supplier reconciliations and manage payment runs
5. Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities as required
6. Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, particularly during the ongoing systems transition
7. Work across multiple finance functions including AP, AR, reconciliations, and reporting
8. Provide leadership and support within the team where required
About You
9. Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), or equivalent experience
10. Proven experience within an industry-based finance function
11. Experience working across a broad finance remit (AP, AR, reporting, reconciliations)
12. Previous experience leading or supervising a team
13. Strong Excel skills
14. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
15. Experience supporting ERP implementations or finance systems projects
16. Working knowledge of SAP is highly desirable
