Job Description:
The DXC Technology highly skilled and experienced NetScaler Subject Matter Expert (SME) will join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of Citrix NetScaler (now Citrix ADC) environments to ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and security of our enterprise applications
This role requires deep technical expertise in NetScaler/ADC load balancing, application delivery, network optimization, and security, as well as a strong understanding of enterprise networking and virtualisation
The Roles Primary Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, and manage Citrix NetScaler / Citrix ADC appliances for load balancing, SSL offloading, GSLB, content switching, and application firewall (AppFW).
2. Serve as the SME for all NetScaler-related projects and initiatives.
3. Monitor and optimize NetScaler performance and availability.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve NetScaler-related incidents and problems in a timely manner.
5. Collaborate with application, network, and security teams to design and implement secure and high-performing application delivery solutions.
6. Perform version upgrades, patches, and system maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime.
7. Document architecture, configurations, processes, and procedures related to NetScaler systems.
8. Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in configuration and access management.
9. Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and operational teams on NetScaler technologies.
10. Support disaster recovery and high availability strategies related to application delivery.
Desirable Skills:
11. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Citrix NetScaler / Citrix ADC.
12. Expertise in configuring NetScaler features such as:
13. Load Balancing
14. Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB)
15. SSL Offloading
16. Content Switching
17. AppFirewall (WAF)
18. Authentication, Authorization, and Auditing (AAA)
19. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and related networking protocols.
20. Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, NITRO API, Ansible).
21. Familiarity with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and integration with NetScaler a plus.
22. Experience working with cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS) and deploying NetScaler VPX/BLX in hybrid cloud setups.
23. Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with monitoring tools.
24. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
