Engineering Technician - Hertfordshire Job Title: Engineering Technician Location: Hertfordshire Status: Permanent, Day shift with overtime opportunities Salary and Benefits: Industry leading salary and benefits including a strong commitment to training and development Purpose Ensure reliable, GMP-compliant operation of manufacturing and packaging equipment, supporting production efficiency and quality. Key Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment to meet operational targets. Apply GMP and engineering best practices. Develop and update maintenance procedures and schedules. Supervise contractors and manage equipment modifications. Plan and execute shutdowns, order parts, and assess critical spares. Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Support production, technical, and quality teams. Operate and maintain CMMS. Participate in commissioning and advise on equipment selection. Opportunities to work on multiple projects in Production and manufacturingSkills & Qualifications Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds, BTEC Level 3). Strong fault-finding and documentation skills.
