Rate of Pay: £13.45 - £17.42 per hour
Summary:
The Catering Assistant will support the day-to-day catering operations within a busy residential outdoor education centre. The role involves assisting with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations while creating a positive dining experience for guests.
Responsibilities
* Assist with food preparation and service of meals within the catering unit.
* Support kitchen and dining room operations, including cleaning, washing up, and maintaining hygiene standards.
* Set up and clear dining areas, including tables and service equipment.
* Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations at all times.
* Safely store food items and carry out temperature checks and record keeping.
* Encourage healthy eating and support guests in trying new foods.
Essentials:
* Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
* Good time management skills.
* Flexible to work varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
* Willingness to work in a fast-paced team environment.

* This role requires an Enhanced DBS
