We are looking for a proactive, detail-loving Housekeeper & General Cleaner who takes pride in creating welcoming spaces for guests, students, and visitors across our unique campus near West Dean.
What you will be doing
Every day is a little different - and that's part of the appeal. You will help keep our historic buildings and accommodation looking their absolute best by:
* Cleaning and preparing guest rooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces
* Polishing surfaces including marble, wood panelling, and brass fittings
* Making beds, refreshing linens, and restocking supplies
* Supporting internal and external cleaning across courtyards, offices, and facilities
* Helping maintain signage, equipment, and cleaning stores
* Working carefully around heritage features using conservation-friendly practices
* Keeping spaces safe, tidy, and welcoming for everyone on site
You will also play a key role in spotting maintenance issues early and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the housekeeping operation.

About you

Experience in cleaning or housekeeping and knowledge of Health & Safety/COSHH are helpful, but enthusiasm and reliability matter most.

* Location: West Dean, West Sussex
* Hours: 27.5 per week (5 days over 7, including weekends and bank holidays)
* Salary: £18,018 per year (FTE £22,932)
* Contract: Permanent
