On behalf of Randstad, we're seeking a dedicated Lecturer to join a supportive and collaborative Cambridge-based team at a reputable college this September. As part of this team, you'll be instrumental in shaping the skills and knowledge of students, particularly working with KS5 students as they prepare for their future careers. What You'll Do:
* Deliver Engaging Teaching and Learning: Provide exceptional teaching across a range of Electrical Installations programs, tailoring your approach to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all learners, including our KS5 students. You'll develop and maintain engaging teaching materials, schemes of work, and assessments that align with awarding body requirements, ensuring students have every opportunity to succeed. This may include teaching during evenings, and occasionally on Saturdays, particularly during peak periods or for specific programs.
* Support Student Success: Act as a dedicated course tutor, tracking and reviewing student progress, providing valuable feedback to students, parents/guardians, and employers, and supporting work placement programs.
* Contribute to Program Growth: Play a key role in the design and development of the curriculum, responding to new course initiatives and advising on resource requirements. You'll also assist in the recruitment and admission of new students, representing the college at promotional events.
* Collaborate and Develop: Work closely with your Cambridge-based colleagues to integrate Maths and English into the vocational curriculum and participate in course team reviews and evaluations. This is a team that values mutual support and growth, and you'll be an integral part of that collaborative environment.
* Maintain Professional Excellence: Develop and maintain strong industry links, keeping your own professional practice and knowledge current in your specialist area. You'll also ensure all activities adhere to college procedures, including health and safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity, and data protection.
We're Looking For:
A passionate and skilled Electrical Installations professional eager to share their expertise. You should be committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment and dedicated to the success of every student, especially those at the KS5 level.
A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering is required to be considered for this role, demonstrating your foundational expertise in the field. The ability to work collaboratively within a team and a proactive approach to professional development are essential.
