The Team

The Technology and Transformation Team is all about driving innovation, optimising our systems, and ensuring everything runs smoothly across TIG. The team is split into 5 areas, each covering their own space:

* Infrastructure: They own the platform architecture and makes sure our tech ecosystem is running at its best. They work closely with Service Delivery and InfoSec to spot improvements, tackle risks, and ensure the TIG’s software infrastructure is solid.
* Information Security: They ensure our security measures are up to date and effective, overseeing things like ISO audits and security policies. They work with all tech teams to make sure systems are well-protected.
* Service Delivery: Runs the Service Desk and leads the support engineers, handling all IT support issues. They’re the go-to team for tech support, working with all of tech to make sure everyone’s knowledgeable about the services in use.
* Product Development: Leads the charge on developing and optimising the product pipeline. They partner with our brands to identify improvement opportunities and make sure we’re constantly enhancing systems and services.
* Transformation & Change: Manages all tech transformations across the group, from planning to delivery. With a team of project and programme managers, they work closely with Product Development to bring new initiatives to life and drive change.

Overall, the Technology and Transformation Team keeps our tech as up to date as possible, making sure our systems are secure, efficient, and always improving.


Role Impact

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining, prioritising, and managing the development of internal systems and recruitment technologies across our global group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, ideally within the recruitment sector, with the ability to translate internal product requirements into effective product outcomes for our global business.


You will play a key role in the product development process including agile methodologies. You will contribute to defining the roadmap for our tech products and making strategic decisions to maximise the value of our products.


Key Responsibilities in this role

Product Ownership and Strategy:

* Focus on key strategic deliverables including key partner management such as LinkedIn, Bullhorn, Sourcewhale et al. Contribute to the shaping the product roadmap and ensure it reflects business priorities
* Define the product vision and strategy in alignment with company growth plans and objectives
* Communicate product strategies to the product team and stakeholders in the wider business

Time Management

* Create, prioritise, and manage the product timeline based on business needs
* Ensure that the product backlog is transparent, visible, and understood by the team and wider business

Requirement Gathering:

* Engage with the technology team and wider business to understand and report on product needs and improvements to create clear, actionable user stories
* Collate data and feedback to validate product requirements and solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

* Work closely with the development team to clarify requirements and ensure alignment with the wider product vision for successful product development and launches
* Facilitate regular communication and updates with all stakeholders to keep them informed of product progress and changes.

Sprint Planning and Execution:

* Participate in product objective planning and reviews to ensure that the development team has a clear understanding of priorities.
* Monitor and report on product progress and development, directly addressing any issues or obstacles.

Product Launch and Management:

* Coordinate product launches with the technology team ensuring all departments are prepared for a successful rollout.
* Track and analyse product performance and gathering feedback from the recruitment business for continuous improvement.

Performance Metrics and Reporting:

* Define and track key performance metrics to measure product success.
* Collate data to provide regular reports and updates on product performance and advice on product enhancements to internal stakeholders.


What you need to succeed in this role

* 3 or more years of experience in product management or product ownership in the recruitment sector
* Strong understanding of product development methodologies and ways or working
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to manage and prioritise a product backlog.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
* Bullhorn experience preferential
