This post is within the Transport Scotland Rail Directorate’s Business Support Team which carries out a wide range of work in support of the various teams within the Directorate, including the Rail Governance and Regulation Unit, Operations and Delivery, Commercial and Business Planning and Strategy and Futures teams. The post-holder will support the co-ordination of rail input to corporate requests and updates, correspondence requests, collation and reporting of management information, preparation and or making arrangements for meetings and events, co-ordination of briefings and note taking. Responsibilities Support on Directorate input to Transport Scotland corporate, Ministerial, and wider SG commissions and requests for information, ensuring that the Directorate always provides quality, timely and cohesive responses. Support to the Rail Correspondence Team in the co-ordination and preparation of responses to correspondence received. Support to the Rail Business Support Team in co-ordinating Directorate events and Newsletters, the preparation of papers, presentations and relevant briefing for meetings (internal and external), providing secretariat for meetings, collating and circulating papers, maintaining trackers, analysis and preparing summaries of performance data, producing reports and ensuring actions are followed up. Line management responsibilities. IMSO for the Directorate, including promotion of best practice. Process and manage Easebuy and EPC payments for the Directorate. Deputise for the Business Manager when required. Provide PA duty cover to the Director of Rail when required.
