QC Senior Scientist
Posistion Summary: 4 Days On / 4 Days Off (12-hour day shifts) - 12 month FTC
Catalent’s QC department is central to commercial product release, stability studies, and cleaning validation. As a Senior Scientist, you’ll lead analytical testing, mentor team members, and support data review across QC Release, Stability, and Validation activities.
The Role:
1. Perform and oversee QC release testing using techniques such as HPLC, Karl Fischer, FT-IR, TLC, UV, pH meter, and dissolution.
2. Review and approve team analyses; troubleshoot equipment and methods.
3. Develop validation test plans and Analytical Summary Reports.
4. Coordinate stability programs and manage lab ordering via VMI/Kanban.
5. Identify and investigate deviations, including out-of-spec and out-of-trend results.
6. Plan team workload and support continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Raise and manage SOS entries in Entropy.
The Candidate:
8. Degree in a scientific or biotech discipline (or equivalent experience)
9. Strong hands-on experience with HPLC
10. Proven ability to mentor and train junior staff
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
12. Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
