About The Role
Develop and grow sales within our protein categories, focusing on imported global chilled and frozen Beef & Lamb offerings. Work with current customers and develop new supply chains and customers. Collaborate closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams including Operations, Technical, Category, Planning, and Commercial to build strong relationships and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure positive category development.
2. Develop and implement strategic plans for sales growth and market performance.
3. Manage NPD and product development to align with market trends and customer needs.
4. Collaborate with Marketing to stay updated on trends and market metrics.
5. Support account development with internal commercial teams.
6. Plan and execute new supply chains and manage related projects.
7. Handle account administration including budgeting, forecasting, and system updates.
8. Provide analytics and reporting for product and market performance.
Candidate Requirements
1. Proven experience in a commercial management role.
2. Strong customer and supplier management skills.
3. Experience in stakeholder relationship management.
4. Leadership skills with a record of developing new business.
5. Knowledge of account management tools and business forecasting.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to influence at all levels internally and externally.
8. Trend awareness within the food market sector.
9. Leadership and team development skills.
10. Understanding of business drivers and technical opportunities.
11. Data analysis skills for opportunity and risk identification.
12. Strong commercial acumen and meat industry knowledge.
13. Willingness to travel globally; full driving license required.
14. Knowledge of UK markets and global meat sectors, especially Beef and Lamb.
15. Negotiation skills and awareness of environmental challenges in the sector.
