As a part-time optometrist, you will play a pivotal role in providing top-quality optometry services within our hospital. Your responsibilities will include assessing, diagnosing, and managing the treatment of patients referred to our Orthoptic/Optometry service. Person Specification Knowledge Knowledge of Optometry, Optics, & Ophthalmology
Knowledge of Orthoptics
Knowledge of hospital optometry/orthoptics
Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Optometry or equivalent
Registration with the General Optical Council
Additional training in orthoptics or learning disabilities
Further Training Continuing Professional Development
Experience of clinical audit
Experience Experience working as an optometrist
Experience working with children
Experience working with children or adults with complex needs
Contractual Requirements Provide optometry services for Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust
Willingness to travel to Newark Hospital as needed
