DivideBuy was acquired by Zopa in April 23 as a future growth engine. DivideBuy offers interest free and interest bearing credit at point of sale (POS) to consumers. Zopa has and will continue to invest in the business, having strengthened its technical, risk, product and credit functions. So all the pieces are in place to accelerate growth. Your role is to take the business from £85m to £500m over the next three years. The Sales Director will run the business development function as well as being an integral part of the POS leadership team. It is a critical role with a with a wide-ranging remit to improve the marketing and sales activities in order to grow the revenue and profitability of the business. The role requires strategic drive, superb people skills, understanding of operating in a regulated environment and product development. You will be responsible for a team of c20 people including: new business sales, account management and B2B marketing. You will also steer developing product strategies with the product and development departments. A day in the life: • Development of the sales strategy; key sectors to enter, type of merchants to target, implementing a robust and consistent sales methodology • Partnership strategy; identification of, qualification of and relationship building with key strategic partners • Pipeline management; expanding the existing new business pipeline, enhancing the qualification process, identifying margin opportunities • Inspiring the sales team to achieve ambitious and stretching targets • Retaining, developing and strengthening our relationships with our current merchants • Upselling interest bearing and longer term interest free credit to merchants within the portfolio • Collaborating with the credit function to optimise merchant profitability • Lead generation for the new business team • Increasing B2B brand awareness • Leveraging the Zopa brand; collaborating with the Zopa marketing and PR function • Establishing a clear go to market product feature strategy • Building a fully qualified pipeline that underpins that product feature strategy • Joint working with the product function • Judicious prioritisation of new product features that optimises return on development effort About you: • Demonstratable experience in a senior business development role managing multiple teams • Inspiration leadership • Excellent people skills • Demonstrated strategic leadership • Operated in a regulated environment • Led teams to achieve significant growth Bonus points for: • Point of sale, BNPL, or lending experience
