Senior Care Assistant : Burscough
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents at Stocks Hall Burscough. You will be responsible for supporting the daily living activities of elderly individuals, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This position requires a compassionate individual with strong leadership skills to supervise junior staff and assist in the development and implementation of care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
We have full time roles on both days and nights.
Responsibilities
1. Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
2. Support residents in daily activities, including meal preparation and medication administration.
3. Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
4. Develop and maintain individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
5. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other team members to ensure the highest standard of care is delivered.
6. Maintain accurate records of residents’ progress and any changes in their health status.
7. Ensure the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.
8. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to senior care.
Skills
9. Proven experience in senior care or within a care home environment.
10. Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
11. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
12. Ability to develop and implement personalised care plans based on individual needs.
13. Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation.
14. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents as needed.
