Health and Safety Advisor - Coleshill, Birmingham

£29 - £35 per hour

We're working with a leading Tier 1 infrastructure contractor delivering one of the UK's most significant civil engineering projects. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Health and Safety Advisor with an earthworks background to support site delivery teams across a major infrastructure programme.

This is a hands on role working closely with supervisors, foremen, and site managers to promote safe working practices, drive standards, and support the successful delivery of works onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting site teams to maintain high safety and operational standards.
• Conducting site observations and engaging directly with delivery teams.
• Supporting daily briefings and task planning activities.
• Identifying risks and ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
• Coaching and influencing teams to improve behaviours and performance.
• Escalating concerns and helping drive continuous improvement across site operations.

Requirements

• Strong construction experience, ideally within earthworks, infrastructure, heavy civils, or major projects.
• NEBOSH Construction / General Certificate or relevant supervisory qualification.
• CSCS Gold Supervisor or Black Manager Card.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence people at all levels
