If you're ready for a new adventure in a dynamic, expanding, passionate, international company, **join us** !**Main Purpose of the role:*** Ensure minimal downtime of production facility through effective and timely maintenance and repair of plant and machinery (both Electrical & Mechanical)* Limitation of plant / equipment failure through effective planned preventative maintenance tasks as directed.* Support on-going production output by engaging in the rotating Standby & Call-out Rota.* Engage in upskilling operators to enhance best practice on use of plant and equipment.* **Working pattern - 45.25 Hours per week - 06:00 – 15:15 (Monday to Thursday) 06:00 – 14.15 (Friday) and 12:45 – 22:00 (Monday to Thursday) 13:45 – 22:00 (Friday)****Key Responsibilities:*** Problem solving in a logical and rational way.* Carry out works orders to repair and maintain plant and equipment.* Prioritise workloads to ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard.* Order spares and parts as necessary.* Assist other Engineers and Contractors with installations & repairs.* Complete work on all Solina's sites, areas, and plant & equipment, both electrical & mechanical as required, (within your skills, training & abilities)* Proactive approach to always working safely.* Active and positive engagement in the rotating callout rota & respond as required.* Be proactive in ensuring all necessary documentation is completed correctly and handed in on time.* Adhere to the company’s hygiene, Environment, Health and Safety policies, systems, and safe working practices.* Respond to all departments for maintenance requests using the shift mobile phone provided.* Provide training and support to any member of the engineering team where required.* Maintain and promote a clean and tidy working environment and undertake housekeeping duties.* Carry out any reasonable request as requested by any member of management within the reasonable scope of the role.* Engage in building positive relationships with other employees and departments to facilitate harmony.**Engineering Core Requirements*** ### Must be able to work in both Mechanical & Electrical disciplines (Preferred Bias 70% / 30% or 30% / 70%)* ### A minimum of 3 years’ experience of Engineering / Maintenance working within food manufacturing / processing or pharmaceutical industries* ### Must have worked within a multi-skilled multi-disciplined team in a fast-moving manufacturing environment* ### Must be able to work independently or assisted on all aspects of maintenance work### ### **Mechanically Biased Core Requirements*** ### Mechanical Engineering qualification to C&G /NVQ Level 2 equivalent or higher / or achieved full Apprenticeship (Certificates to be made available)* ### Demonstrable mechanical fitting abilities /experience* ### Ability to read and interpret Mechanical / assembly drawings.* ### Good pneumatic skills### ### **Electrically Biased Core Requirements*** ### Minimum City & Guilds 236 or equivalent / or achieved full Apprenticeship (Certificates to be made available)* ### Good electrical installation & machine fault finding skills* ### BTEC ONC or HNC (Electrical / Electronic) (Certificates to be made available)* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings.* Panel wiring skills### Additional Requirements* ### Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent* ### Basic computer skills for inputting and printing data* ### Good level of English both written and spoken* ### Ability to work at heights* ### Ability to work in confined spaces**Benefits**Competitive benefit package***We are open to talents of all backgrounds.
