Job description
My client is currently looking for a SIPP Property Specialist to join their team as a Client Relationship Manager. This is a remote role and can be based anywhere in the UK.
Reporting to the Team Leader the successful candidate will provide specialised property, borrowing, loan back, third party loan and VAT expertise throughout the organisation. This role requires in-depth knowledge of property processes, regulations and documentation to support key CRMs with property-related matters including property purchases, sales, leases, VAT, borrowing, loan backs, third party loans and associated financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
1. The key focus of the role is to deliver an exceptional client experience, putting the client at the heart of everything you do to deliver great client outcomes
2. Provide technical guidance to Key CRMs on property, borrowing, loan back, third party loan and VAT related queries and transactions
3. Work on leases and property sales documentation for accuracy and compliance
4. Work on both simple and complex property purchases, including those with borrowing
5. Work on loan backs and third-party loans
6. Work on new borrowing or borrowing rollover documentation
7. Work on rent reviews
8. Handle all rental invoicing
9. Handle all scheme VAT returns
10. Provide technical guidance to key CRMs on property, borrowing, loan back, third party loan and VAT related matters
11. Contribute to client meetings when property, borrowing, loan back, third party loan and VAT expertise is required
12. Explain complex property concepts and processes in clear, accessible language
13. Identify and mitigate risks associated with property, borrowing, loan back, third party loan and VAT work
14. Contribute to the training and development of other team members where required
15. Work with co-ordinators to maintain standards throughout the unit
Key Experience
16. In-depth knowledge of property purchase and sale processes within pension schemes
17. In-depth knowledge of loan backs and third-party loan processes within pension schemes
18. In-depth knowledge of borrowing processes within pension schemes
19. Expertise in lease review and property documentation requirements
20. Strong understanding of property compliance requirements and risk factors
21. Knowledge of VAT as it applies to property transactions
22. Experience in reviewing complex property transactions and associated documentation
23. Understanding of investment administration for pension schemes
