Job Summary: This role combines responsibilities of an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer and a Production Engineer, focusing on designing systematic manufacturing processes aligned with customer requirements and standard times to optimize efficiency. The role involves process creation for methods and costs, supporting machinery and tooling improvements, and driving continuous manufacturing enhancements, including CNC programming and support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and modify CNC programs using Fanuc / Mazak languages.
* Develop manufacturing documentation, tooling, and setup details.
* Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve processes.
* Maintain lean, robust manufacturing processes ensuring quality and timely delivery.
* Support daily manufacturing activities, resolve issues, and enhance productivity.
* Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams for process improvements.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts.
* Create process and material specifications, manage tooling and machine maintenance.
* Develop and update routings, work instructions, and implement engineering changes.
* Provide training and support to production staff and work across departments as needed.
Qualifications:
* HNC/HND in Mechanical/Production Engineering or extensive manufacturing/industrial engineering experience.
* Proficient in lean manufacturing, CNC, manual machining, and MRP systems like SAP.
* Strong communication skills and a proactive team player.
* Legal right to work in the UK and ability to obtain security clearance.
