Constellation - Kitchen Porter Location: Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire London Rd, Moreton-in-Marsh GL56 0RH Employment Type: Casual work with shift offered during the week from Monday to Friday Constellation are currently recruiting hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porters About the Role As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen and catering facilities. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation throughout the kitchen while assisting chefs and the wider catering team where required. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required Operate dishwashing machinery safely and efficiently Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed Replenish cleaning supplies and kitchen consumables Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and COSHH regulations Assist with deliveries, stock movement, and storage procedures Keep floors, work surfaces, and equipment clean and sanitised at all times Essential Requirements Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work Good teamwork and communication skills Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required Understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards Physically capable of carrying out manual handling tasks Desirable Experience Previous kitchen porter, cleaning, or catering experience Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety procedures Experience working within hospitality, education, defence, or contract catering environments This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a professional catering operation supporting one of the UK’s leading emergency services training institutions.
