We are expanding our team by introducing a Paediatric Charge Nurse role, seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals committed to high-quality care and professional development. Our team is supported by advanced practitioners, consultants, and dedicated medical staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support staff within the department, ensuring safe, evidence-based patient care
* Support continuous professional development and participate in educational activities
* Manage shift operations, including day, night, and weekend shifts
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications: Registered Paediatric Nurse, A&E Specialist Course, Mentorship Course, EPLS/APLS, Triage Skills
Desirable Qualifications: ALS/ATNC/Instructor, ENP Course, Nursing Degree, Leadership Qualification
Essential Experience: Knowledge of safeguarding, paediatric mental health, emergency care targets, care pathways, and current issues in paediatric nursing
Desirable Experience: Resource management, clinical governance, staff management, NHS policy awareness
Skills
* Experience in paediatric ED and recent A&E experience at Band 6
* Leadership and team management skills
* Experience handling clinical incidents and complaints

This role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks, and applicants must have UK professional registration. The position offers flexible working options, a salary between £48,270 and £54,931, and is a permanent, full or part-time role.
