Registered Manager - Children's Residential About the Role Hippo Staffing is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client — a well-established provider of high-quality, therapeutic residential care for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). We are seeking a Registered Manager to lead a therapeutic children’s home in Prescot, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and outcomes for young people. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about trauma-informed practice and creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Our client is also open to considering a strong Deputy Manager who is ready to take the next step into a Registered Manager position. Key Responsibilities * Provide strong leadership and management to the staff team, promoting a culture of care, respect, and professional development. * Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015. * Develop, implement, and review care plans that reflect a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach. * Lead on safeguarding and risk management, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all young people. * Work collaboratively with social workers, therapists, education professionals, and external agencies. * Manage budgets, staffing levels, and rota planning effectively. * Drive continuous improvement and maintain high inspection outcomes. Requirements * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards). * Minimum 2 years’ experience in a managerial or deputy managerial role within a children’s residential setting. * Strong understanding of therapeutic and trauma-informed care models. * Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. * A passion for improving the lives and futures of young people. * Full UK driving licence.
