Role Overview:
Are you an experienced civil engineer eager to make a difference for communities at risk of flooding? Join us as a Lead Operations Engineer to deliver flood risk management and environmental resilience projects across Mid Wales. You will lead project planning and delivery, manage contractors, design solutions, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. Additionally, you will oversee emergency flood response planning, develop contingency plans, and lead training exercises.
This role requires a background in civil engineering and a passion for sustainable, nature-based solutions. Your responsibilities include:
* Leading design and management of civil engineering projects
* Overseeing asset inspection and maintenance planning
* Acting as Client, Designer, or Principal Designer under CDM 2015
* Supporting reservoir safety, land drainage, and flood risk schemes
* Contributing to digital asset management system improvements
* Collaborating across teams and stakeholders

About Us:
Integrated Engineering combines Flood Risk, Forestry, Reservoirs, and Land Drainage expertise. This role focuses on flood risk and asset management in Mid Wales, delivering schemes that support local communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Producing and reviewing flood risk asset maintenance programs
* Responding to failing assets and planning repairs
* Leading flood incident response and exercises
* Managing civil engineering projects and procurement processes
* Providing technical advice and ensuring health and safety compliance
Qualifications and Skills:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; NEBOSH construction certificate desirable
* Experience in civil design, hydraulics, and project management
* Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
* Strong ICT, GIS, AutoCAD skills, and stakeholder engagement experience
Language Requirements:
* Fluent Welsh speaker (Level C1) is essential
