The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Agri-Business Department Manager to join the firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This role will see you lead and develop the Agri-Business team, manage a portfolio of clients, and ensure the highest standards of service are delivered. You will also have input into departmental strategy, performance monitoring, and business development opportunities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to step into a leadership role within a forward-thinking firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop the Agri-Business team to deliver excellent client service
- Provide strategic financial and accountancy support to a portfolio of agricultural clients
- Oversee compliance work, accounts preparation, and tax returns
- Monitor departmental budgets, workflow, and performance
- Contribute to business development and growth opportunities within the agricultural sector.
The Candidate:
- ACA/ACCA-qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
Desirable:
- Knowledge or experience of the agricultural and rural business sector
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities for clients and the firm
