Working as part of Catering team to deliver of a range of food and beverages in line with Food Hygiene legislation and NHS Lanarkshire policies and procedures to meet the nutritional needs of Patients, Staff, and users of NHS Lanarkshire services.
To work alongside and support new staff in the working environment.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Knowledge of catering standards and related procedures.
2. Required to undertake on the job training and induction (this will generally take 4-6 weeks, depending on hours/days worked), to achieve full competency across a range of duties.
3. Working knowledge Health & Safety including participation in risk assessing individual tasks
4. Required to undertake Prevention, Assessment & Management of Violence of Aggression (PaMOVA) training level 1 and level 2, if identified following an appropriate risk assessment
5. Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training
6. Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards
7. Undertake and complete NHSS Catering Services Workbook.
8. Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
9. Effective written and verbal communication skills
10. Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment
11. Required to obtain the Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.
12. Working knowledge of basic information technology
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
13. Recognised SVQ or equivalent qualification which relates to the post
14. Work experience within a catering environment
15. Knowledge of infection control, COSHH and fire safety
16. Numerate, literate and practical skills
17. Manual handling

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Catering within University Hospital Monklands.
The working pattern for this role Monday to Friday Variable Shifts, latest finish 20:00pm.
