Overview
The Counter Lead is responsible for supporting their Brand in driving sales turnover and market share through consistently remaining consumer focused. They are accountable for achieving this by reflecting a credible and professional Brand image to all internal and external consumers, maximizing sales through selling, providing excellent service and retail standards, and contributing to efficiencies by adhering to store/Brand/Company Procedures and guidelines.
Responsibilities
* Reflect a credible and professional Brand image to all internal and external consumers at all times.
* Maximise sales through selling, providing excellent service and maintaining retail standards.
* Contribute to efficiencies by adhering to store/Brand/Company Procedures and guidelines.
* Understand daily/weekly targets.
* Be aware of additional sales avenues (events, Omni and digital channels, etc.).
* Stay up to date with competitor activities and opportunities.
* Leverage social media to drive the business and protect/enhance the Brand image.
* Deliver the Brand Strategy and a local plan.
* Plan and implement local marketing and events initiatives aligned to Retailer activity.
* Deliver excellence in service, with measures to continually improve service levels and foster a zero-complaints mindset and a surprise-and-delight culture.
* Be an Ambassador for the Brand and bring Brand values to life.
* Manage refunds and complaints in line with Company guidelines, consulting with the Area Manager where appropriate.
* Use digital tools to keep knowledge up to date.
* Deliver a consumer recruitment and retention strategy to grow a loyal consumer base.
* Develop up-to-date product knowledge to deliver an industry-leading experience and ensure the product meets consumer needs.
* Plan to ensure delivery of excellent standards at all times (product, housekeeping, displays, messaging, pricing).
* Review retail standards daily to ensure they are maintained to the required standard.
* Ensure deliveries, stock movements and related administration are completed within Company timeframes.
* Ensure auditable processes and administration are followed and take corrective action in highlighted risk areas.
* Ensure information requests are fulfilled accurately within deadlines.
* Minimise stock loss by following Company Security Policies and Procedures.
* Create and maintain a safe working environment for consumers in line with Company and Retailer Policies.
* Ensure health & safety responsibilities and all operational activity achieve at least an 'Acceptable' grade during audits.
Qualifications
* Experience in a fast-paced retail and/or consumer-facing environment.
* Ability to drive self-development.
* Commercial understanding and awareness of industry.
* Effective communication, organisation and prioritisation skills.
