Location: City Centre of Bristol
A warm and welcoming primary school in the city centre of Bristol is looking for a kind, calm and patient General Teaching Assistant to join their Year 5 class from January.
The school is supportive and nurturing and is looking for someone who can build strong relationships with pupils and staff, and provide consistent learning and pastoral support across the class.
The Role
- Full time general TA support in a Year 5 class
- Work closely with the class teacher to support whole class, group and individual learning
- Deliver targeted interventions and small group work in English and maths
- Support pupils with their social and emotional development, helping them feel settled and confident in school
- Use positive behaviour strategies and follow the school behaviour policy
- Help to prepare resources and support with classroom organisation
- Contribute to observations and feedback on pupil progress and wellbeing
Requirements
- Experience supporting children in Key Stage 2, ideally in a school setting
- A kind, patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with staff and families
- Willingness to support children with a range of abilities and needs
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
