About the Role
We’re looking for experienced engineers with equal parts deep technical knowledge and practical experience deploying that knowledge to deliver value in a business and industry context. You will devise novel and practical solutions to our clients’ trickiest problems and help implement them to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Use your extensive technical knowledge and experience to design solutions.

* Show curiosity and knowledge of our clients’ businesses and industries.
* Provide outstanding advisory and client communication skills.
* Build relationships with senior stakeholders based on credibility and value.
* Take on wider Technical Principal responsibilities – ensuring the commercial success of projects and enabling wider company success.
Qualifications & Experience
About You:
* 6+ years experience in technical roles, including at least 3 years in an agency/consultancy context.
* Deep knowledge and proven experience in at least one of the following areas:
o Cloud platform architecture/migration (AWS and/or Azure)
o Data engineering, Digital platform architecture and enterprise modernization
* Track record designing and delivering complex technical solutions that deliver business benefits to clients.
* Comfortable working in ambiguous contexts, making decisions with incomplete information, and handling multiple stakeholder agendas.
* Excellent consulting and advisory skills, able to lead, persuade, and communicate with all levels of stakeholders, including C‑suite.
* Pre‑sales experience in an agency context, leading opportunity stage meetings and creating compelling narratives.
* Leadership qualities: people want to follow you, whether they report to you or not.
* Collaboration: see all colleagues as allies.
* Can‑do attitude, willing to get hands dirty, proactive at finding additional areas to add value.
* Ability to represent Softwire at events and network.
What We Offer
Softwire operates transparent pay scales and a profit‑share scheme based on role and overall company performance. Salary is based on experience and ranges; you can expect to earn £120k+ as an OTE.
