Job Title: Vehicle Technician

Location: Salford

Hours: 45 – Monday to Friday

About Chevron Traffic Management:

We set up temporary road or lane closures, diversions, and pedestrian routes to ensure safety during roadworks, involving signage, traffic lights, barriers, and more. Our work is visible nationwide and involves planning, designing, estimating, liaising, and innovating to improve safety and reduce environmental impact.

Traffic management is challenging but rewarding work that keeps people safe, and our team makes it enjoyable.

Role of Vehicle Technician:

Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will maintain company vehicles, mobile plant, and trailers to DVSA standards.

Key responsibilities include:

* Servicing vehicles per manufacturer guidelines
* MOT preparation
* Repairing/replacing faulty parts
* Diagnosing vehicle issues
* Documenting work (job sheets, reports)
* Maintaining workshop safety and cleanliness
* Supporting workshop activities as needed

Essential Attributes:

* Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
* 2+ years' experience in vehicle maintenance/repair
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Ability to diagnose faults

Desirable Attributes:

* Experience with Light Goods Vehicles
* Category C licence
* Electrical skills
* Experience with Heavy Goods Vehicles or mobile plant
