Child Protection Officer

About the Role
This role provides administrative and operational support in managing cases involving children and young persons requiring long-term out-of-home care. You will work closely with officers and stakeholders to support case processes, ensure proper documentation, and contribute to safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities
1. Administrative & Case Support
* Provide administrative and logistical support, including documentation and case file management
* Maintain accurate and timely records for case tracking and reporting
* Support officers in managing cases involving children and young persons at risk
2. Case Processing & Coordination
* Assist in logging assessments, checks, and screenings for cases involving abuse, neglect, or abandonment
* Support coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth case handling
3. Field & Client Support
* Accompany officers on client visits where required
* Provide on-ground support for cases requiring care, protection, or statutory intervention
4. Registry & Records Management
* Support the maintenance of adoption-related records and databases
* Assist in matching processes with prospective caregivers where applicable
5. Case Monitoring
* Oversee a small number of inactive cases, primarily providing administrative follow-up and record maintenance
Requirements
* Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related fields
* Prior experience in administrative, casework support, or social service settings is an advantage
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
