Role & Responsibilities
* Manage the department as outlined in the HOD Managers manual
* Oversee daily activities of the housekeeping department, including cleaning of all rooms, corridors, guest lounges, washrooms, restaurant areas, and public spaces
* Ensure periodic deep cleans are carried out
* Conduct quarterly health & safety checks to meet legislation
* Perform stock counts and reorder supplies as per policy
* Conduct monthly room audits with the Front of House Manager
* Attend weekly meetings as required
* Plan, organise, and direct team members to ensure guest satisfaction
* Supervise housekeeping staff including room attendants, public areas, turndown, and laundry teams
* Manage housekeeping supplies and inventory
* Perform pre-arrival inspections of rooms
* Recruit and train new housekeeping staff
* Maintain the housekeeping budget through resource control
* Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct
* Ensure compliance with COSHH and safety standards
* Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs with maintenance
* Foster good communication with other departments
* Understand responsibilities regarding fire procedures, health and safety, COSHH, infection control, and emergency aid
