Schools Liaison & Admissions Officer £28,318–£34,793 per annum | 37 hours/week | Permanent About the role Be the face of an Ofsted‑rated “Good” college in Greater Manchester, representing Post‑16 study pathways to school students across the region. You’ll deliver engaging presentations in assemblies, host on‑site and in‑school application & admissions interviews, and build trusted relationships with schools, parents, and community partners. You’ll influence recruitment, support events like open days, taster sessions, and sampling days, ensuring students embark on their next step with confidence. What will you do? Deliver engaging presentations and assemblies to Year 9–11 students, informing them about college options and shaping their aspirations. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with secondary schools, careers advisors, and parent networks. Coordinate and manage school interviews (in-school and on-campus), follow-up communications and interview rescheduling. Organise taster events, sampling days, master-classes, and open evenings – including logistics, scheduling, transport, catering, and coordination. Support marketing and admissions teams to promote 16–18 full-time courses and Apprenticeships. Maintain high standards of enquiry follow-up, data accuracy, resource management, and quality assurance processes. Essential Experience & Qualities Excellent public-speaking ability with a natural flair for communication. Experience engaging with young people and delivering information to diverse groups. Strong organisational and time-management skills – able to juggle in-school visits, evening events, and administrative duties. Driven and passionate about supporting students in their progression. Educated to degree level (or equivalent), ideally with some sales, marketing, or education-sector experience. Ability to develop productive relationships with schools and external partners. Desirable Background in sales, marketing, or recruitment is an advantage. Previous experience in further education, school liaison, or outreach will be highly valued.
